Recommended listenings

Here is a list of my favorite CDs. As you'll notice I like Jazz (Bebop) and Baroque Music. I've also listed some french very famous composers, like Serge Gainsbourg. Don't hesitate to follow the links for sometimes more informations. I guess most of you already knows the composers listed here, if not, give them a try, I don't think you'll be disapointed.

This list will change over time.

Note: some recordings are old. For example a Thelonius Monk recording from 1957 will include some noise, and, if you own a Mark Levinson, or any other high-end audio system, you'll ear it. So what ?

I love Glenn Gould. Some people dislike it. In both case you can't ignore this modern revolutionary piano player.
Two recordings of Bach Goldberg Variation exists. It's weird to say, but I'm afraid you'll need both. The Golderg Variations are addictive... Two historical recordings, follow the links and read what people says about those.

Mozart I don't like him too much, however those two concertos for piano are incredible. I'm not sure you'll find this CD on Amazon.com. You'll find easily anywhere else. Just remember this : Mozart, Brendel, concertos 20 and 21.
